After-hours Counselling
We understand how difficult it can be for some people to attend counselling during business hours. The demands of work, family or other activities can make it simply too hard to find the time. In some cases, taking time off work or skipping other important events may add further stress or anxiety and adds to the challenges of the presenting issue. For this reason, Calming Minds offers an after-hours counselling service either in person or via telehealth. The session structure is identical to that of individual daytime counselling, and is always tailored to your specific needs and goals.


Initial Sessions
The aims of the counselling process will be defined
There will be a discussion and clarification of the themes identified from your issue
Your goals for counselling will be clearly established
Understanding, trust and rapport will be built between you and your counsellor
Sessions 2 - 4
A treatment plan will be developed in collaboration with your counsellor
There will be an in-depth exploration of your issue
Discover new tools and inner resources while developing the ones you already have
You may be given activities to practice certain coping skills outside of counselling
Sessions 5+
Review of your treatment plan and goals
Grounding of the skills you have learned through action in your life
A reflection upon your achievements and journey so far
